Olagbende Oluwaseun 400L student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering department, built an automated hand sanitizer system for the fight against COVID-19.

Recall that a team led by Professor Olatunde Oni at LAUTECH invented an automated disinfecting chamber and automated hand sanitizer dispenser which reads individual temperature and triggers a sanitizer spray unit to disinfect an individual passing through the chamber.

A student of the same Institution named Olagbende Oluwaseun also invented an automated hand sanitizer machine.

Oluwaseun who revealed the working of the device to LadokitesNg said it will be used to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the institution and beyond.

It has three key devices, including water and soap dispenser, hand drier and hand sanitizer sessions. And the machine can attend to three persons or more simultaneously.

He said the device is definitely attractive to use without entreating people to use it because it is automated

He concluded by saying about the structural design which is isolative, and it’s definitely efficient because it’s solar powered.

We also gathered that work is already on to unveil the device to the management.

Stay tuned for more details
