It is no more news in Nigeria, Africa and the whole world at large about the deadly pandemic disease that turn all citizens into a cemetery where family member is afraid of each other.

Coronavirus Disease popularly known as COVID 19 is a deadly pandemic disease but not a death sentence.

Symptom of COVID-19 are as follows;

Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea
Other reported symptoms have included the following:

Sputum production, Malaise, Respiratory distress

Using available preliminary data, the median time from onset to clinical recovery for mild cases is approximately 2 weeks and is 3-6 weeks for patients with severe or critical disease.

Although for most people COVID-19 causes only mild illness, it can make some people very ill. More rarely, the disease can be fatal. Older people, and those with pre- existing medical conditions (such as high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes) appear to be more vulnerable.

Most Prominent Nigerian who have died from COVID-19

Suleiman Achimugu (former Managing Director of PPMC, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)

Abba Kyari (Former Chief of Staff to President Buhari)

Abiola Ajimobi (a two-term governor in Nigeria’s southwestern Oyo State died from underlying health conditions after contracting coronavirus)

Wahab Adegbenro (Ondo State commissioner of health, Wahab Adegbenro)

Bayo Osinowo (senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District)

The executives of NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA STUDENTS OYO STATE ably led by COM. OPAKUNLE OLUWAFUNMIBI MAYOWA, hereby commend and applaud the activeness and measure put in place by the Oyo State Government His Excellency Gov. ENGR. ABIODUN OLUSEYI MAKINDE to ensure the reduction in the spread of this deadly disease and put necessary facilities in place.

We outrightly put it to the residents of Oyo, most especially the students that COVID 19 is real. We didn’t want to believe the numbers are real but we just want you to understand again that “health is wealth”

There is no vaccine or pills yet which can neutralize this disease except series of and constant usage of medics. We hereby put it to the Oyo State Students to serve as an aide in helping the State in enlightening or sanitizing our neighbors on the necessary precautions that has been put in place by the FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HEALTH, NCDC and all other health parastatal in other to ensure reduction in the rate of spread.

We urge each and every Oyo State Student both home and in Diaspora to adhere to the precaution measure laid down by Federal Ministry of Health and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

Remember that we can all beat the pandemic disease if we follow all the guidelines
