Lautech Gists

Dear management,

Truly, It is quite imperative to exaggerate the importance of academic-smooth-sailing in the university as well as the financial well being of staffs and the management en masse, also the need to put into consideration the major occupants of the varsity arena (students) in their incapacitation to meet up with payment deadlines shouldn’t be washed under the carpet.

It is no news that a large population of students in the institution till now after the closure of normal registration and almost the end of late registration have not been able to raise their annual tuition fees, this in no doubt is as a result of many students hailing from the middle class and lower family from different states in Nigeria, many parents and guardian falls in the category of petty trader or low ranking government workers whose salaries are nothing close to the new tuition system of the varsity.

It is not the happiness of any student, parent or guardian to sit tight and watch till portal closes for examinations before getting means to pay tuition, but as the economy of the country would have it, a lot of things need be put into consideration. It saddens our heart to see thousands of students cutting across all levels standing aside from the test queue in the ongoing CBT tests due to non payment of tuition, we are appealing and imploring the school management to show magnanimity towards these category of students in other not to cause them an extra academic semester or session.

On behalf of the entire student populace, we seek favor from the school management to look into a form of leniency in favor of the affected students and deduce another progressive means to get them pay while they join their mates in writing tests and examinations.

We strongly pray that the management hear our prayers and grant this great favor as it is paramount to many students life, we sincerely appreciate your every time fatherly love and attention towards pestering issues concerning the students populace.

Students as progressive minds and the future of this noble citadel of learning will not pray for the school to go back to the previous miry of strike action and epileptic academic activities, which has grounded the institution at some point and brought about the NEW FEE REGIME which is affecting all and sundry.

As a student body, even though our union is been grounded and our voice taken away from us, we are appealing to the stakeholders of this institution to please come in to the fray and reconsider the helpless students and indigent students caught up and affected in this new policy, since it’s implementation the level of depression and psychological breakdown amidst the students populace is on the high side.

The Liberated students Movement in Lautech is appealing to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, The Hon. Commissioner for Education, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye, The Alumni President, Hon Onilede Solomon, The Dean Students Affairs Lautech Dr Azeem Ige, The Special Adviser to the Governor on Students Matters Asiwaju Victor Dideoluwa Olojede to please plead on behalf of the students to the Lautech Management led by our amiable Father, Prof Michael Olufisayo Ologunde to reconsider and reverse the *NO TUITION, NO TEST/EXAM POLICY* we are hopeful and believe our plea won’t fall on deaf hears as we believe the Government of the day is up and doing and want the best for all especially the students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso. This we fervently believe and with the help of God we will be able to achieve this goal. Amen
